How it works

From program design to client progress — in four steps.

Roses & Lumber gives coaches a structured system for running 1:1 or small group training — without juggling multiple apps.

Here’s how it works.

1️⃣ Create Your Coach Pod

When you sign up with the intent to coach clients:

  • A Coach Pod is created by default
  • You can create additional pods anytime
  • Each pod becomes a dedicated coaching environment

To add clients:

  • Invite them by email
  • They install the app
  • Enter their invite code during onboarding
  • They’re added directly to your pod

2️⃣ Build Your Blueprint

  • Use your custom movement library
  • Attach demo videos
  • Define measurement types
  • Build structured sessions, flows, or complexes

Each Blueprint defines a single workout structure.

It’s modular by design.

3️⃣ Pin & Assign Frequency

From inside a Pod:

  • Pin one or multiple Blueprints
  • Set how often each should be performed (frequency required)

Example:

  • Lower Body (2x/week)
  • Upper Body (2x/week)
  • Conditioning (1x/week)

If you need to change frequency:

  • Unpin
  • Re-pin with updated frequency

Structure stays intentional.

4️⃣ Clients Log & Progress

From the client side:

  • They enter the Pod
  • See pinned Blueprints
  • Start a workout

On first execution:

  • A personal copy of the Blueprint is created

From that point forward:

  • Their weights evolve
  • Prescriptions can adjust
  • Movement swaps can occur
  • Progress becomes individualized

Client logs:

  • Sets and reps
  • Optional video at the set level
  • Daily nutrition
  • Journal entries

All tied to that day.

Ongoing Coaching

As the coach, you can:

  • Review daily logs
  • Toggle between workout and nutrition
  • Access weekly views
  • Watch set-level video
  • Lead data-backed conversations

Your original Blueprints remain intact.

Each client progresses independently.

The Result

You’re not running coaching through:

  • Chat threads
  • Screenshots
  • Spreadsheets
